This patent application covers aspects of Spray Foam Systems’ innovative high volume low pressure (“HVLP”) application system that provides needed improvements to the polyurethane spray (“SPF”) industry. The Nitrosys® HVLP system combines the A and B materials streams in a unique process that enables delivery of SPF at high volumes from unpressurized containers for insulation and injection molding applications. When combined with a proportioner configured for low pressure, the company’s spray gun design, and a disposable static mixing nozzle, users can experience processing improvements such as lower PPE requirements, shortened job site reentry times, reduced equipment maintenance, and less material waste.
