When applied with a Nitrosys low-pressure system, re-entry is allowed after 2 hours for open-cell and 4 hours for closed-cell applications—provided proper PPE is worn. In contrast, when sprayed with a high-pressure system, re-entry is restricted to 24 hours, and a supplied-air respirator (SAR) is mandatory.
What PPE Should Be Worn When Spraying?
Although Quadrant EnviroSeal™ OC Platinum features a low-odor formulation, it is still a chemical product that must be applied with proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
The required PPE depends on your spray system:
- Low-pressure system (e.g., Nitrosys):
Use a NIOSH-approved full-face respirator, spray foam-rated coveralls, chemical-resistant gloves, and safety eyewear. - High-pressure system:
A supplied-air respirator (SAR) is required, along with full protective clothing and jobsite ventilation.
Regardless of the system, always follow the product SDS and safety protocols to ensure full compliance and worker protection.
