Comparing Graco Reactor Models for Spray Foam Machines

A proportioner directly affects how much material a spray foam crew can process and what supporting equipment the rig needs. Reactor models vary from compact machines for smaller applications to hydraulic systems built for substantially higher output.

When comparing Graco Reactor models for spray foam machines, contractors should start with the intended application. From there, output and drive type make the differences between models much easier to understand.

E-10 Covers Compact Spray Foam Applications

The E-10 sits at the smaller end of the foam equipment range. Foam-compatible configurations can deliver up to 12 pounds per minute at a maximum working pressure of 2,000 psi. The machine uses onboard material tanks and an electric drive, giving it a very different footprint than a full production rig proportioner.

Its compact design makes more sense for smaller areas and supplemental spray work than for crews focused on continuous high-volume insulation. A contractor can also use an E-10 alongside larger equipment when a project calls for more portability.

A-25 Moves Into Higher Spray Foam Output

The A-25 significantly increases production with an air-driven proportioning system. It can deliver up to 25 pounds per minute at 2,000 psi and supports up to 210 feet of heated hose.

Because compressed air drives the machine, the surrounding rig needs enough compressor capacity to support it. That makes the A-25 different from an electric-drive E-series proportioner, even when both machines rely on electricity elsewhere in the rig.

For insulation contractors, the A-25 provides a step up from compact equipment without moving directly into the larger electric or hydraulic production platforms.

GH-2 and GH-4 Offer Hydraulic Alternatives

The Gusmer GH models offer another path for contractors who want hydraulic proportioning. The GH-2 delivers up to 28 pounds per minute, while the GH-4 increases maximum output to 45 pounds per minute. Both operate at a maximum pressure of 2,000 psi for spray foam applications.

Reactor 3 H-30 and H-50 Serve Higher-Output Work

The H-30 reaches 30 pounds per minute and supports up to 320 feet of heated hose. The H-50, on the other hand, raises maximum flow to 54 pounds per minute while extending hose capacity to 420 feet. Both operate at a maximum spray pressure of 2,000 psi.

These models are a strong option for high-volume projects. An H-50 offers considerably more production capacity than an E-20 or E-30, but the rest of the rig must still support that workload.

Compare the Model to the Workload

Each model covers very different jobs. An E-10 belongs in a different production category from an H-50, even though both can process polyurethane foam.  Taking time to compare Graco Reactor models for spray foam machines helps contractors look beyond the model number.
